The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of William "Jack" Seymour can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Kay Austiff
Condolence: I am Jack's cousin Kay Whitlock Austiff. My mother was Jack's dad's sister. When we were young we spent a lot of happy family times together. Unfortunately, as we grew older we lost contact. I have a lot of memories spent with Jack and his parents as well as with Jack and JoAnne in the early days of their marriage. I have probably met all of you children. It was very sad to hear of Jack's illness and death. He distinguished himself as a member of the military as You have every reason to be extremely proud of him. He will be missed.

Condolence From: Rosa Whitmore
Condolence: Jack was a wonderful person. His family a delight to know. He and Joann were instrumental members in the Fayetteville Sail and Power Squadron and contributed greatly to the success of our local safe boating community. May God's blessings and peace, and strength be with the family at this time. In lieu of flowers, a donation will be made to the USPS education in honor of Jack and Joann's contribution to our local squadron and safe boating.

Condolence From: Carol Anne (Whitlock) Borland
Condolence: Dear Children of my cousin, Jack. My heart will be with you as you honor your father. Although I didn't keep up with him as I should have, he was always my Cousin Jack. I have so many memories of our growing up days. It was a hallmark of the Seymour family that we got together often, for many years there was an annual Seymour reunion. Uncle Nelson and his family were at out house every Sunday for a family dinner. I remember one time when we Whitlock kids were visiting in Lowpoint, your Grandmother Lucille had just waxed the kitchen floor on her hands and knees. She made a game out of the polishing part (yes, it was a multi-step task back then) by letting us pull each other across the floor on rag rugs. I think I met all of you when my daughter, Kendra Wings, and her husband, Mike, were stationed at Fort Bragg and I was visiting her. Hold this in your heart....our loved ones are never gone as long as we remember them. Remember often, laugh, and yes, cry.... I sincerely believe that our loved ones are watching out for us from heaven.... Love to all the family.
