New Bern – Donald Carl Brinson, Sr., 79, died Monday, July 31, 2017 at CarolinaEast Medical Center. Mr. Brinson served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard, retiring after 31 years as Sergeant Major. He retired from the Raleigh Police Department as detective after 30 years.
