Annual Memorial Day Ceremony at New Bern National Cemetery
11 a.m. Monday, May 25, 2015
Please join us this Memorial Day as we honor those who gave their lives to ensure America's freedom. Remembrance is an important part of what we do at Pollock-Best, so we encourage you to make it part of your Memorial Day weekend. The first Memorial Day ceremony was observed on May 30, 1868, when flowers were placed on the graves of Union and Confederate soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery. Today, these special ceremonies bring veterans, families, and communities together, and continue to prove that the bond formed in military service spans generations. Click HERE for directions. For more details on this Memorial Day event, please call 252-637-2912
Spring Breakfast Fundraiser for Hospice
May 14, 2015
Pollock-Best funeral directors and their significant others attended the Craven County Hospice’s 2015 Spring Breakfast at Tryon Palace. Tables at this fundraiser are “sold” to a sponsor who then “Works for Tips” as they serve their invited guests during the event. All tips are then donated to the Hospice Foundation.
The Pollock-Best table of nine raised more than $600 for this worthy cause!
